OLD text -- Our goals, indicated by each full circle, are cumulative through December 2021 and have been set by the Acton Climate Coalition: for 2021 they are for 270 users setting up Energize profiles, another 350 households opting up to APC GREEN, 170 EV purchases, 130 solar installations, 100 deep insulation projects and 65 homes installing heat pumps. The goals will be increased for 2022 in line with the 2030 net zero-emission target passed in the September 2020 Declaration of a Climate Emergency: https://bit.ly/ActonClimateEmergencyt. Actions and Carbon Reductions -- the red and black filled portions of the bottom donuts -- are also cumulative, based on (a) actions reported as “Done” by those who have joined Energize Action through the present (the dark portion of the bars below) plus (b) approximately 230 APC Opt-Ups to APC GREEN through the latest month and (c) state & utility data on prior actions and their carbon reduction from approximately 2011 through December 2020 (for 240 EVs & 470 residential solar systems). Household numbers -- the green portion of the top donut -- are counted from when they actually set up a profile on Energize Acton (i.e., beginning in mid-2021).
